Urban legends have it that during the 80′s Van Halen demanded that all brown M&Ms be removed from there dressing room catering needs. Stories have been told of David Lee Roth ripping up dressing rooms if he saw any brown M&M’s….turns out both rumors are true.
Roth says the detail was placed in their “Chinese phone book sized contract rider” so promoters would also pay close attention to the safety and electrical needs of their “gigantor” set.
